About Us
Greenspon, Brown and Associates was formed in 2004 by Lawrence Greenspon and Trevor Brown, when we decided that we wanted to build on our reputation as lawyers who have always fought for the “little guy”, by putting together a team of people that we like, respect, and who share our commitment to the pursuit of justice. Mr. Greenspon is a renowned advocate who has practiced criminal and personal injury law in Ottawa for the past several years, appearing regularly in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada, all the while mentoring younger lawyers and working tirelessly in the community for a variety of charitable causes.
After getting his start in criminal law as a lawyer working with Mr. Greenspon, Mr. Brown has continued to practice almost exclusively in the criminal courts, building his practice through unflinching dedication to his clients.
Our law practice is located in a century old Heritage house in the Centretown area of Ottawa. The character of our building reflects the character of our law firm – an established presence in the community with a strong connection to its residents. We maintain this connection through our hands-on, grassroots involvement with local charities and volunteer organizations.
Our firm is associated with many not-for-profit organizations, including United Way/Centraide, Snowsuit Fund, Child and Youth Friendly Ottawa, Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa, Operation Go Home, Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation, Caribbean Promise, ACCESO International, Human Development Foundation, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada, and the Simon Wiesenthal Centre.
